제38회 International Coffee Hour 에 참여해주신 모든 분들께 감사드립니다.

어학교육팀에서는 2017년 9월 21일 목요일, 제38회 International Coffee Hour 행사를 실시하였습니다. 

이번 행사에는 추석이라는 주제로, 외국인 친구들에게 한국의 전통 게임과 간식을 소개하였는데요. 

약 150여명의 외국인 및 내국인 학생들이 참여하여, 우리의 전통 음식인 송편과 한과, 호두과자, 인절미 등을 맛보고, 전통 놀이인 윷놀이와 제기차기, 팽이를 체험해보는 시간을 가졌습니다. 

다음에 있을 International Coffee Hour 행사에도 많은 참석과 관심 부탁드립니다. 

□ 제39회 International Coffee Hour

- 10월 18일(수요일), 어학원 컨퍼런스홀 (101호)

- 주제 : 우리의 전통음악인 사물놀이 음악과 악기 체험 

□ 제40회 International Coffee Hour

- 11월 21일(화요일), 어학원 영어북카페 (107호)

- 주제 : Trivia Night (일반 상식 퀴즈)

- 어학교육팀 올림

Thank you everyone for your attendance and participation to the 38th International Coffee Hour. We had a great turn out from both international and Korean students and we recorded highest attendance so far.  Approximate 150 students came fromall over the world, so thank you! 

The theme for this coffee hour was "Chuseok," Korean Traditional Thanksgiving Day.  We experienced Korean tradtional snacks, 송편(Song-pyeon), 인절미(Injeolmi), 한과(Hankwa), and 호두과자 (Hodukwaja), and plyed some Korean traditional games like 윷놀이(Yutnori), 제기차기(Jegichaki), and 팽이 (Paengee).

There was an impromptu Jegichaki contest, where contestants demonstrated how many times they could kick the Jegi.  The highest record was by Sunghwan from Korea with 21 kicks, and 2nd highest record was by Bilguun from Mongolia with 21 hits.  Bravo! 

I hope you all enjoyed the first International Coffee Hours this semester.  Next coffee hour will feature "Samulnori," Korean traditional percussion quartet.  Come and enjoy Korean traditional music and dance, as well as try out some of the instruments. We hope to see you all next month!
